IN OUR GALLERY Six Chicks and a Dick Lee Brozgol

About This Exhibition

Six Chicks and a Dick is a mask exhibition about seven public figures who may very well think of themselves as exemplars of the American Dream.  If money is the measure of success, certainly, each of them can claim victory: Martha Stewart, worth $300 million; Kris Jenner, worth $100 million; Caitlyn Jenner, worth $100 million; Dick Cheney worth, $90 million; Sarah Palin worth, $12 million; Melania Trump, worth $11 million; and Ann Coulter, worth $8.5 million.  But the question “Six Chicks and a Dick” asks is: Is rags to riches worth the price?

About The Artist

Lee Brozgol has been a pioneering artist ever since his move to New York’s Lower East Side in 1964. Growing up in Chicago, Brozgol has channeled the colorful, gritty energy of the Windy City into vibrant New York City public commissions. These include “The Greenwich Village Murals” at the Christopher Street Subway Station and “Liberty–Our Story!” at Liberty High School in Manhattan. Currently, under the pseudonym, A. Lebowski, Brozgol is completing a thirty-three year portrait project, “Hidden America: An Artist’s Trip through the Personals” that chronicles the lives of one American from each State in the Union.
