”Sing Like a Man” explores the intersection of masculinity, vulnerability and desire by accessing vocal tonalities that are atypical in popular music. This means the inclusion of polyphonic, broken, guttural, animalistic, and otherwordly sounds into the palette of vocal expression. This piece seeks to reveal the vulnerable masculine heart hiding beneath the cultural clichés by embodying and exaggerating them before stripping them away completely.
