In the Lounge Queer Baby Jesus Jacob Jarrett

About This Show

Jo (a non-binary trans-masculine Catholic) and Mara (a queer Atheist Jewish cisgender woman), a couple in Ann Arbor, Michigan, are searching for an accepting faith community. Shortly after joining a Unitarian Universalist congregation, an Angel appears to Jo and tells them Mara is pregnant with the second coming of Jesus.  Confused by the biological impossibility of her pregnancy, Mara takes twenty seven pregnancy tests, all confirming she is indeed with child. Together, Mara and Jo are forced to confront their faith, their new congregation, and what it means to start a family.
