About This Show

An evening of music, comedy, dancing, performance art & theatre celebrating LGBTQ performers.

The May iteration will feature Raluca Albu, Sarah M. Duncan & Kim Yaged.


Aimee Herman is a performance poet with two full-length books of poems.

Raluca Albu is a writer & documentary filmmaker. She was born in Romania & raised in the Bronx; she enjoys writing about both and the journey in-between. Raluca is the senior editor for Guernica magazine’s daily section & teaches writing at Columbia University to war veterans.  

Sarah M. Duncan originally hails from Normal, Illinois (really). She is a queer multidisciplinary writer, performer, educator, troublemaker & arts organizer. Her poetry has been published by Ghost House Review, Souvenir Lit Journal, & this spring, Pelorus Press. Sarah performs in & curates poetry events around NYC. Her most recent play Come Back Up was recently produced in August 2015 by Sanguine Theater Company. She is currently collaborating on a visual poetry project with French artist Anne de Beauford. This coming Fall, she’ll be an MFA Candidate in poetry at the University of Wyoming.

Kim Yaged is an award-winning writer with a background in theater, television & film. Kim’s hilarious one-woman tour de force Hypocrites & Strippers was nominated for a Best Actress Artsie & an excerpt of the play was published in Applause Books’ One on One: The Best Women’s Monologues for the 21st Century. Kim wrote, directed & produced two animated shorts based on Hypocrites & Strippers which have screened at festivals in New York, Chicago, Austin, Rio de Janeiro, Ontario & Melbourne.  Her short stories & poems have been published by Random House, Cleis Press, Ballantine Books, Applause & Arsenal Pulp Press.
