Aurore is unable to decide who she might be; Snow White struggles with body issue; the little mermaid discovers the worst secret of her entrance to womanhood.  Princess Anybody explores the dark and twisted side of the world & the real life problems a ‘‘princess’’ might encounter. The play incorporates performance art, songs, as well as movements, presenting a physical poetry of the dandy & the horrible.

About the Artist

Ran Xia is an interdisciplinary artist based in NYC & Shanghai. Visual: SEE.ME: Stories of the Creative & Art Takes Times Square, Dacia Gallery, Spiegel Me (Fountains Foundation, Chicago). Playwright/Director: at Dixon Place: North, They Lived In the Attic, [ai] (also fully produced at Brick Theater in Brooklyn), Tabula Rasa, Word Play. At MITF: Heavenly Bodies Move in Space, The Invisible of the Sidewalk. Ran has also worked as a director at Primary Stages’ ESPA. Scenic Design: Animals Out of Papers, July House (Fringe 2015). She also hosts the Cold Reading series Shanghai branch in collaboration with Theater in Asylum.
