Pretty Girls Don’t Light Their Own Cigarettes is an ongoing autobiographical drag performance piece in 6 episodes. Pretty Girls is a drag queen’s coming of age story and a modern tragedy mixed into 30-minute episodes each leaving you hornier than the last.
About the Artist
Venus Platt is a Brooklyn based drag performance artist, designer, and playwright. As a non-binary artist, Venus mixes storytelling, rhythm and movement to expand queer narratives. Their most recent work, ‘Pretty Girls Don’t Light Their Own Cigarettes Ep. 1-5’ has been seen at HOT! Fest 2018 and Playwrights Horizons Downtown. They are very excited to bring episode 6 to the stage. They also regularly perform at bars in Brooklyn where you can see them death drop to Disney classics or casting a spell lip-syncing to Amy Winehouse.
