In the Lounge One of the Good Ones Christopher Nourse

About This Show

This solo performance piece expresses gendered behaviors through irrational response and subconscious impulse; or, it is a demonstration of how we might perform femininity and masculinity in dreams, fantasies and nightmares. Through routines and behaviors, movement, ritual and music, the performance integrates and implicates the audience in the problematics of how we perform in gender everyday. Nourse uses malleable personae to move through different iterations of his gender. There will be sunglasses, one cape, a boombox, a cassette tape, high heels, an axe dance, markers, beer, black nylons and pizza. Come meet GoodBoi, PartyBoi, SkirtBoi and NakedBoi.
