Moments an installation by Gilda Pervin

About This Show

Moments is an exhibition that visually represents split-seconds in time. In drawings and in cement bas-reliefs, Gilda Pervin suggests people relating to each other, or absorbed in private thoughts in that moment before the next moment happens. She thinks of these images as “memory snapshots”.

“When I begin to work on a piece I have no clear idea where I will be led as I move the materials across the surface. In this way there is always a sense of surprise, as well as a recognition of the feeling that emerges. Making art, for me, is discovery.” Gilda Pervin
