About This Show

PART 1: In the inaugural version of Chris Tries to Review Wine LIVE! features a live wine tasting of several of the wines for sale at the Dixon Place bar and invite special guests to taste the wines and discuss their life experiences involving wine–– with Chris.

PART 2: After the audience is sufficiently sauced, we delve deep into the highest of brows in culture Kim Kardashian. The Kardashiad is a one woman epic poem “reading” about the life of the modern Helen of Troy, Kim Kardashian. We follow along with Kim and her perilous epic journey from Calabasas obscurity to household name. From sex tapes to a Vogue cover, our narrator explores what it means to be famous for being famous in this comedic one woman show. This is part one woman show and part drinking game, and possibly part bar trivia.

About Artists

SIOBHAN GILBERT is a NYC based playwright/screenwriter whose works have been featured at Dixon Place, the Davenport Theatre, NYU, the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, and the Last Frontier Theater Conference in Alaska.

CHRIS BARLOW is a New York-based playwright and host of the highly-educational series Chris Tries to Review Wine. His plays include Condolences From the Future! (ANT Fest 2014) and My Rich Fucking Cousins in the Next Town Over (NYU MFA Thesis, Dir. Morgan Gould). More at iamchrisbarlow.com.
