Live! From the Murder Room Don't Trust the Postal Service

About This Show

In turns bizarre, moving, funny, dark, abstractly violent, and surreal, Live! From the Murder Room intends to explore what we have in common with the darkest participants and recesses of our own society. Inspired by real stories of consensual cannibalistic encounters, this piece examines what it means when your search to gratify your inner most desires could cost you your life.

About the Artists

Overwhelmed, constricted, and ultimately suffocated by a pressing desire to discuss things we’re not supposed to, Don’t Trust the Postal Service is a New York City based company that devises theater. Utilizing a DIY, punk rock, anti-hierarchal approach, we generate new work that comforts the disturbed and disturbs the comforted. We structure performances that you can sit in, rather than sit in front of. Since our launch in 2015, Don’t Trust the Postal Service has shown work at The Producer’s Club, The Secret Theatre, and Theatre Row, among others. We most recently completed the Drop, Forge, and Tool Creative Theatre Residency in Hudson, NY.
