MODRN TIM.ES conceived and directed by Jon Levin. Created and performed by Lucy Shelby, Danny Gardner, Tamar Korn, Teddy Yudain, Regan Sims and Marissa Molnar. Music by Dennis Lichtman. Inspired by silent films from the 1920s-30s, MODRN TIM.ES is a fresh satire of contemporary America, performed in the style of a silent film. At its heart, we are examining the current technological revolution through the anachronistic lens of the last one in the 1920s. Through the course of the project’s development we will search for new ways to talk about society’s relationship with technology.

Excerpt from THE CHRONICLES OF CARDIGAN AND KHENTE written and performed by Daaimah Mubashir
This portion of the new work centers on CrowJae a central character within this episodic play. Over the course of nine episodes The Chronicles of Cardigan and Khente tracks the experience of two black corporate executives as they navigate climbing the ladder toward financial liberation. In the style of a Post – Black Minstrelsy, Cardigan and Khente’s first question is: Why does success and freedom always come down to “what do they think of us?”
