In the Lounge Indigo Moon Indigo Moon

About This Show

Indigo Moon is a solo artist combining lyricism, spoken word poetry & sultry vocals over beats, ranging from downtempo, dub, trip hop, tribal, hip hop & ambient genres, collaborating with various producers. The night will be a palette of what she does.

Of her work, Indigo Moon says, “I want to be a Revolution. I want to be unchanging like the mountains and ever moving like the sea. Our bodies were not born to slumber, but to be instruments that we learn to breathe through…Vessels for Change. REELeyes your higher self, and REEL back with rhyme. We R Rhythm. We R the Revolution we’ve been waiting for.”

About the Artist

Indigo Moon (Kate Hess) is a lyricist, spoken word poet, vocalist, and choreographer, whose passion is to cultivate authenticity. Her first poem was published at the age of 11. She is releasing an EP, Lucid Earth. The moon emanates light in the midst of darkness. Therefore, ‘Indigo Moon’ represents synthesizing the light and darkness. Her mission is to empower others and be a voice to the voiceless, through the use of lyrical imagery, vocals, music, and movement; and to shed light on concepts for the purpose of surfacing. Her work is a birthing process of her life experience for the purpose of transformation
