In the lounge Imre Lodbrog et Sa Petite Amie: Tales from Two Rivers Imre Lodbrog and Barbara Browning

About This Show

Another episode in the serial adventures of a Francophone rocker and his corn-fed Midwestern back-up singer. When her mother makes the move to an assisted living facility in rural Wisconsin, Barbara takes Imre to help with the transition, and they spend some time with her friendly but politically conservative sister who seems to have a surprising affinity for the “slightly eccentric Frenchman.” Barbara has to explain to Imre that a “red state” is not one that embraces communism. Other lessons include bratwurst eating and miniature bowling.

About the artist

Imre Lodbrog has been writing songs for a very long time. He writes other things as well. His real name is Sébastien Régnier, and under that name, with Barbara Browning, he’s shortly releasing a book (Who the Hell is Imre Lodbrog?). Barbara is a novelist, performance theorist and amateur ukuleleist. She teaches in the Department of Performance Studies at NYU.
