In the Lounge how do i share this all with you // a common language Nick Reit

About This Show

how do i share this all with you // a common language is a multimedia solo performance that examines the phenomena of media consumption, recycling, and regurgitation. Interacting with his own sites of pop culture identification, Nick consumes and digests scripts which become experiences and language for his real-world life. The piece interrogates the possibility of applying these scripts and, subsequently, rejecting them as markers of identity and ways of living. Specifically, how does a gay man use and re-use the scripts that surround him? And what happens when these scripts fail him? Or is he failing them?
