About The Artists
Margot Mejia is Queer Latinx comedienne and playwright from Queens, New York. Margot is a graduate of New York University. She is completing her MFA in Dramatic Writing at Carnegie Mellon University. Her literary work includes Sleep F$@cking: Revision (Off-Broadway, Theater for the New City), Happy Birthday, David: The Musical (Mainstage, The People’s Improv Theater) , various sketches featured on Funny or Die, several published poems, and two pilots she co-wrote that are published on the blcklst and currently being pitched to network.
Adrian Gonzalez is a Mexican-American actor based out of Los Angeles. Some of his more recent LA theater credits are: Othello and Argonautika at A Noise Within Theater, Tar (world premiere) at Playwright’s Arena, and Fixed at the Echo Theater Co. TV/Film Credits include: The Bridge, NCIS, NCIS LA, The Affair, Superstore, and most recently recurred on the critically acclaimed series VIDA on Starz.
Roger Q. Mason (he/they) is an award-winning writer/performer who uses history to dismantle the biases that separate rather than unite us. Mason’s work has played on Broadway at Circle in the Square (Circle Reading Series); Off/Off-Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop, New Group, American Theatre of Actors, Flea Theatre, and Access Theater; and regionally at McCarter Theatre, Victory Gardens, Chicago Dramatists, Steep Theatre, Serenbe Playhouse, EST/LA, Son of Semele, and Skylight Theatre.
Davi Santos is an Astoria native and a graduate of Laguardia Arts. He is a regular on Tell Me A Story (CW) and one of The Power Rangers (Nickelodeon). Films: Something Like Summer, 47 Meters Down Uncaged, Polaroid, 13 Minutes. Off Broadway: Afterlight (Cherry Lane Theatre), Lythgoe’s Cinderella (Pasadena Playhouse, LA), and he teams with Michael again after they got in Trouble (Signature Theatre).
Felicia Santiago (Jen) is a New York born, raised and based Latina actress. A recent grad and Practical Aesthetics award recipient of Atlantic Acting School. When she is not in front of the camera or on stage, you can find her training clients in a kickboxing studio or in the gym. Felicia stands firm on an intersectionalist approach to justice. It isn’t enough to say “I’ll pray for this group”, act for all oppressed PEOPLE. And here we are, literally acting in celebration for interracial LGBTQ relationships. Happy Pride! Hanako Greensmith has been active in a variety of new musical theatre pieces and concerts within New York City since graduating from Pace University in 2018 with a BFA in musical theatre. She has made appearances on network television shows “Bull” and “FBI,” and her most recent work is as recurring guest star, Violet Lin, on NBC’s “Chicago Fire.” Hanako is thrilled to be a part of this inventive new piece for this year’s pride!
Levin Valayil has currently finished filming for “Vacant- Light,” “Metros,” and “Storytellers Corp.” companies. These films will be released to festivals in the next 2-6 months. On stage, Levin has just recently come off the international tour of the “Jungle Book.” He has also recently performed in the “Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” in Sarasota, Florida and “Poster Boy” a new musical by Craig Carnelia and Joe Tracz at the Williamstown Theater Festival. He has also recently workshopped new musicals such as the “Poster Boy” at the Public Theater and “Bhangin It” with the La Jolla Playhouse.
Ann Dang is a NYC-based bilingual actor from Shenzhen, China. Her favorite theatre credits include Orpheus in the Berkshires (Williamstown Theatre Festival), The Messenger (Hangar Theatre), Chinese Opera and a Modern Drama (Columbia Stages), Heaven On Fourth (Performa19) and K-Theatre (New York Fringe Festival). Michael Alvarez is an international and interdisciplinary Latinx theatre director. He was a recent Directing Fellow at New York Theatre Workshop, a 2017 Drama League Directing Fellow and a current Director with the Civilians. He has directed in New York, London, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Eastern Europe, and at such institutions as Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End, Arcola Theatre, Institute of Contemporary Arts and made performance art pieces at the British Museum. Bruno Mejia is a self taught musician from Queens, New York. He attended Berklee School of music after getting certified as a medical assistant. He currently is helping out during the COVID 19 Pandemic in New York. He has performed with Cáthia Ochoa from season 4 of The Voice at the Rockwood Music Hall and 9th Annual Salvadoran American Festival, as well as being featured in her music video “Volar”. Bruno has played with his own band at The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, and The Delancey. He is happy to be a part of the creative team and accomplished actors of Hi Bi as arranger and songwriter.
