World Premiere Hero’s House Lake Simons

About This Show

A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles, and odds are definitely against OUR hero…but don’t tell her that. Hero plays with common hero mythology, drawing from stories in literature and comic books. Through object puppetry, movement, and music, we follow OUR hero’s journey during the construction and reconstruction of shelter as she attempts to find security.

This Dixon Place commision is made possible, in part, with private funds from The Jim Henson Foundation and The Jerome Foundation, and public funds from NY State Council on the Arts w/the support of Gov Andrew Cuomo & the NY State Legislature.
