*Tavi Juarez

My First Threesome Breakfast

In this comedic one-act, a bisexual woman shares her inner thoughts during her first threesome breakfast. It’s a perfect trifecta of awkwardness, intimacy, and sexual enlightenment.

*Tavi (TAY-vee) Juarez is a latinx lower east-sider with a BFA in Theatre from the University of Montevallo in Alabama. She is an in-house artist resident at Broad Views on Broadway and an Operations Associate at TodayTix.  She is a producer, performer, and playwright. When she’s not with her dog (Toots!), Tavi enjoys traveling to weird and wonderful places with her fiancé, Erik.

My Life With Ed Sheeran, Popstar or Keep Your Fist Outta My Cunt

We’re supposed to love each other and be good good good.
How dare we be anything else.
Ugly and complicated and powerful and magnificent.

We know who we are.

Has sisterly solidarity has been reduced to catchphrases on tea bags, self-love in your favorite influencer’s favorite mascara?
What do you do when the revolution has been commodified?
When authenticity is a two chord love song strummed by a ginger haired honeybee?

Zizi Majid (co-writer) is a playwright whose plays advocate for a shared humanity. Plays: BEING IN TIME (International Human Rights Arts Festival, NYC), RETURN TO FALL, ZULFIQAR (Semi-finalist, Red Bull Theatre Short New Play Festival, NYC), HOW DID THE CAT GET SO FAT? (nominated Best Play, Life! Theatre Awards); YUSOF (The Esplanade, Singapore). Upcoming: HOW TO GILD AN EAGLE (Signature Theatre, NYC). Young Artist Award (National Arts Council, Singapore). In the Belly

What secures a story a position in our shared cultural knowledge? How long do those stories last? How long do banana peels last in landfills? Are we drowning in a tidal wave of our own making? ‘In the Belly’ is a portion of a longer work in progress titled: ‘Is Bananas’ that seeks to investigate the sustainability of our modern life, as well as the sustainability of our shared ideas.

Madison L. Ritter is a NYC based playwright, director, and performer. She has written for Rule of 7X7 at The Tank; written and performed with The LIDA project. She is interested in plays about people, science, and magic.
