about the artists

Maylin Castro is a bi-coastal theater and film artist. Her most notable work is Animal Kingdom on TNT. She has worked on plays by established playwrights Octavio Solis, Maria Irene Fornes, and Lisa Loomer. She is currently translating The House of Bernarda Alba for a contemporary twist of Lorca’s Classical piece.

Sarah Galvin is a writer, actor, and musician originally from Oswego, NY. She met her fellow cast members on a production of 12 Angry Women and wrote “Oh Mother!” specifically for them.

Nicholas Gentile (Director – O Mother!): a writer and director based in Brooklyn. His one-act musical Mr. California Teen, set in the wholesome world of 50s sitcoms, recently debuted at the Pit Loft. His full-length play Space Race launches July 14th at the Harry Belafonte Library via the Equity Library Theater. Come see for yourself the spine-tingling truth behind mankind’s greatest adventure! Jane Kotlyar is an actor, producer and a global citizen. She has performed in numerous Off-Broadway and independent theatre productions at Columbia University School of the Arts, Southold Opera, The Duke on 42nd, and most recently at The HB Playwrights Theatre.

Julianne Lavallee is a Chicago born actress, writer and producer. She has appeared in many  independent theatre productions and films in New York. She also dabbles in cinematography and lighting. This is the first time her work is being produced on stage.

David Don Miller’s play Why You Beasting? was a sold-out hit and TimeOut NY Critics’ Pick at the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival. It was also an official selection of the FringeNYC Encore Series, where it transferred to the Players Theatre. Miller’s new musical Goodbye New York, is a finalist at the 2017 New York New Works Theatre Festival.

Irene Molloy is a performer, musician, writer and director. She is most known from her regular roles on Grosse Pointe (WB) and Andy Richter Controls the Universe (FOX) as well as her solo album County Line. She has been nominated for the Outer Critics Circle and Helen Hayes Awards. She co-founded Radiant Bloom Productions to develop new works by women+ in the performing arts. She will direct The F Word at the Philadelphia Fringe Fest this September. www.irene.molloy.com
