Featuring Dylan Stephen Levers & Reuben Butchart

About the Readers

Dylan Stephen Levers’ work attempts to problematize the ephemeral hegemonic power structures of post-modern urbanisms. He lives in Brooklyn.

Reuben Butchart is a composer, singer-songwriter and pianist based in New York City. He entered the downtown music scene as the original pianist for Mercury Prize winner Antony and the Johnsons. Since then, he has released albums of his own songs, composed for dance and film, and has most recently set poems of John William Carroll to song during an awarded residency at Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center. Currently he is in the studio, perfecting 80 songs for 4 upcoming double-albums or a pile of rubbish for the cutting room floor.

Dixon Place Literary Programs are supported, in part, with private funds from the Axe Houghton Foundation, and public funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.
