About This Show

The purpose of Collective Thread is to provide a voice and a platform for artistic self-impression to those women of underrepresented ethnic groups within the medium of dance. The matinee participating artists & dance companies are Brianna Anderson, Italy Bianca, Julianne Cariño, Shilpa Darivemula/The Aseemkala Initiative, Malaika Holder, Audrey Hubbard Madison/MoJazz Dance, Cyrian Reed – Creative Discipline, Ayako Takahashi | Ayalis in Motion, Leah Tubbs/ModArts Dance Collective (MADC), Melissa Villareal/Lotus Contemporary Performing Arts, and Chien-Ying Wang/OcampoWang Dance.
