This concert of solely the music from Michael Perrie Jr’s new musical tells the story of 6 artists in NYC who find themselves at different points in their careers, and wanting for change, for more opportunities, for help, for love and for hope. Cole comes from Maryland and has dreams of becoming a model, or an actor, or anything along with his sister, Sarah who has been living in the city for 5 years as a marketing associate with dreams of being a dancer. Max wants to be a playwright and find love while he battles crippling depression, and an abrasive personality. Ryan wants to be special, just wants to make his family proud, but being a Gay Jew in NYC is not as special as it was in Ohio. Margot and Natalie are best friends and roommates who can’t help but feel at perpetual ends, one a beautiful wannabe broadway starlet, the other an unfortunate, manic depressive painter. We all have questions; who, what, where, when, why and how? We can all find a reason to quit. Can we find a reason to keep going?
