Chaim Tannenbaum CD release concert on the mainstage, featuring Will Holshouser and David Mansfield, with special guest Loudon Wainwright III. For over 50 years, when he wasn’t studying mathematical logic, or teaching philosophy at Dawson College in Montreal, Chaim Tannenbaum sidelined as a musician. For decades, he has been one of the folk world’s unsung heros, playing, singing, and recording with the McGarrigles and Loudon Wainwright III, sharing stages with Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson, Peggy Seeger, and Martin Carthy. He’s appeared on over 20 albums, but never made a record of his own. Until now. Loudon says, ”For many years Chaim Tannenbaum has been bugged by his friends and loved ones to step out and shine, which is to say, make a record, his own record. Now, that has finally come to pass. It’s a wonderful thing.”
