About This Show

Catharsis, or, Under the Oak Tree, takes us into the mind of The Dreamer, who is in love with The Figment. Throughout the play, they share sentiments, secrets, and snacks, with The Dreamer feeling content in his happy place. However, The Figment begins to realize that he is not real; this causes the oak tree to begin to fall apart, and the roots of what The Dreamer thought was real begins to break.
