BAD HUSBAND //\\ BAD HOMO Ryan Conarro

About This Show

Ryan Conarro was never a very good gay. He wasn’t into hooking up, partying, or wearing angel wings in parades. Scared of the scene and of the men he wanted to want, Ryan played it safe and only dared his way into long-term committed relationships. He spent most of his adult life living in a remote forest in Alaska. The one time he did dress up for a gay pride parade, he chose a wedding gown. In 2017, Ryan achieved the American gay dream of the 21st century: he got married. Everyone in his big Catholic family said: ‘If he has to be gay, at least he’ll be married.’ …2 short years later, his husband suddenly left him, and Ryan finds himself living out a new nightmare: gay divorce. BAD HUSBAND//BAD HOMO is a comedy of errors– an absurd series of stories where Ryan tries to pick up the pieces and hits (and misses) the gay scene.  What does it mean to be a poster boy for gay marriage, then turn around and become a pioneer of gay divorce? If you’ve turned out to be a bad husband, what if you’re already a bad homo?
