MAINSTAGE baby powder by Paul William Levine

About This Show
Star loves Jonah. Jonah loves Katy.
As best friends Jonah and Star mourn the devastating loss of the Earth’s president and their role model, icon Katy Perry, a leak of an unreleased song thrusts the duo into an intergalactic journey that will force them to confront each other and themselves. In an exploration of queer men’s relationship to female popstars, “baby powder” explores the bizarre phenomena of investing everything into someone who can’t fulfill your needs.

Last year, Paul spent a few months living in London, developing his new play ‘And we itch and itch and burn’ under mentorship from British dramatist Alexandra Wood. Recently, Paul interned at the Off-Broadway Vineyard Theatre as a literary intern, supporting the development of new works.
