In the Lounge At Least We Lived(?): Two Short Solo Works J.P. Makowski and Sam Bosworth

There is no better way of self-examining regrets and mistakes then through the eyes of a wise drag queen. At Least We Lived(?) features two short solo works that do exactly that. The first piece, The Self-Improvement Workshop, places the audience in a court mandated drug use workshop, taught by the embittered, yet friendly Miss Mona, played by Makowski. The second piece entitled Defense features Bosworth as the fictional Kim Karr, the first female Secretary of Defense, as she attempts to explain a recent lapse of moral judgement which has placed her under public scrutiny.
About the Artists
J.P. Makowski is an emerging NYC based queer performer and writer. His newest solo work Blanche On A Winter’s Eve recently premiered at the 2015 Planet Connects Theatre Festivity. He has performed in numerous productions in New York City and across the country, having appeared with such companies as Hudson Shakespeare Company, the LES Shakes Co., Festival 56, and the Cleveland Public Theatre. He holds an MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School. Follow him on twitter @jpmakowski.
Sam Bosworth is an NYC based comedian, writer and drag performer. He co-created, produced & performed in The Corn Show, which has it’s fifth revival in just a few weeks! Sam has studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade, People’s Improv Theater and is a alumni of University of Massachusetts Amherst. Sam is currently in the process of devising Selling Ladies, a new work with collaborator JP Makowski and Jace and Brett’s Music Review, a new podcast series with Brook Allison.
