About This Show

America Online is a performance of an online conversation between two twelve year-old girls after school. On AOL Instant Messenger, they explore some of the deeper issues in their lives, divulging each other’s secrets in-between song requests; questions arise about sex, flirting, Mariah Carey, family, death, body image, sexuality & Spanish homework. Though the pair may not know much, it doesn’t  stop them from proclaiming their opinions on how to flirt, go on diets, or deal with love—the ‘‘most complicated 4-letter word.’’ Hilarity ensues as the two ponder their existence while, ultimately, not doing their homework.
