While music was a landing place for Joshua Mateo to discover creative pursuits, he was also excelling academically in the area of science and became a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Maritime College, earning a Bachelors of Arts degree in Marine Environmental Science, with a minor in Meteorology. He then went to attain a Masters Degree in Teaching Earth Science and a second Masters Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. Joshua’s initial private show was at Iguana Café in midtown NYC, where he performed his first single, “Tunnel Vision” and other musical covers. He then performed his seond show at The Shrine Bar World Music Venue in Harlem. Under management of Rhoemi Smith of Rhameesh Entertainment, Joshua Mateo’s debut EP album will be released in April 2015.
