About the Artists
Daniel Holzman is a New York based playwright, director, and essayist born and raised in San Francisco. He is currently pursuing a BFA at NYU’s Playwright’s Horizons Theater School. His plays have appeared in both San Francisco and New York at Playwrights Horizons Downtown, CounterPulse, and NYU’s Broke People Theatre Festival. He would like to thank his mom and dad for giving him his big nose.
Kate DiRienzi is a director/choreographer and designer entering her final semester at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School at NYU. Recently, she has directed productions of Far Away and Horse Girls at Playwrights Downtown. Kate also choreographed Small Hours. Some of her most recent credits as a set designer include How to Make Friends and Then Kill Them and Electronic City.
Nigel Berkeley is an actor and proud San Francisco native. He currently attends the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program. University credits include Schultz in Circle Mirror Transformation, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, and the coveted role of a Dancing Sheep in As You Like It. He was most recently seen as Jimmy in The Speakeasy. Shoutout to Wendy and Barb.
Marijke Silberman is a production designer, manager and director currently attending NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She has trained at the American Conservatory Theatre, Parsons School for Design and the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Marijke has worked bicoastally, at the Bay Area’s Marsh Theatre and Z Space and in New York with The Muse Project, We are Uprooted, Lab/Shul, among others. She would like to thank her mom for letting her get a BFA in Drama.
Ava Elizabeth Novak is a theatre artist and filmmaker currently in her second year at NYU’s Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. Notable projects include stage managing for I Love White Men (created by Sim Yan Ying, Dixon Place), Light designing for Crave (dir. Cati Kalinoski, TSOA: StudentWorks), and assistant directing for The Thugs (dir. Cashton Tate Rehklau, Playwrights Downtown).
