About the Artists

Christopher Soto (aka Loma) is a queer latin@ punk poet & prison abolitionist. Their first chapbook “Sad Girl Poems” is forthcoming from Sibling Rivalry Press. They cofounded The Undocupoets Campaign with Javier Zamora & Marcelo Hernandez Castillo in 2015. They’ve interned at the Poetry Society of America & received an MFA in poetry from NYU. They edit Nepantla: A Journal Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color with the Lambda Literary Foundation. Originally from the Los Angeles area, they now live in Brooklyn.

Tommy “Teebs” Pico is a poet originally from the Viejas Indian reservation of the Kumeyaay nation, currently based in Brooklyn. He is the author of absentMINDR—the first chapbook application for iOS mobile/tablet devices, released in 2014 by VERBALVISUAL. In 2013, Pico was named the inaugural  Queer/Art/Mentors fellow and a Lambda Literary fellow in poetry.  His poems were published in BOMB, Guernica, and [PANK]. with Morgan Parker co-curates the reading series Poets With Attitude (PWA) and he has been reading his writings at for New York’s iconic Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church, the KGB reading series, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and McNally Jackson Books, amongst many others.
