In the Lounge BeanyTodd written by Sarah Gallegos, directed by Aleksander Varadian

About This Show

In the small, slow, radioactive American town of Grand Junction, Colorado, we join Marlon- a shell of a human- on his Taco Bell odyssey for fulfillment through the ever-confusing yet heartbreakingly familiar world of BeanyTodd.

Based on a concerning true story, ‘BeanyTodd’ satirically examines the effects of trauma; infecting a person, or a spirit, or a town. The very land on which we stand is ingrained with trauma; in the cracks of the desert, the roots of the burning forests, in the blood of the people who were here before.

Can we ever fully confront the trauma of our collective past?
