Dixon Place hosts SHAKTI – the female principle of divine energy Shibaranjani

About This Show
Across the globe, crime against women is on the rise, but the awareness of which is very low. In some parts of the world, women are neither sufficiently educated in defending themselves against such atrocities nor do they have opportunities to take up employment to support themselves.
To observe World Human Rights Day, Shibaranjani presents an awareness program – SHAKTI. The program includes a documentary film about Shibaranjani’s Project SHAKTI, and other social efforts in India, with women who have been victims of sex trafficking, abuse and violence, and how Shibaranjani has been instrumental in developing their talents.
Eminent artists from India and across the USA will perform on the theme.
