DAUGHTERS OF ELYSIUM is an NYC based artistic collective comprised of women-identifying artists. Creating work rooted in ritual and mythology, D.O.E.’s events are often multidisciplinary with a theatrical core. The collective’s mission is to marry modern perspective and myth by telling the tales of multi-archetypal women. The D.O.E. artists’ mediums include performing, writing, music, filmmaking, visual arts, dance, and more. Founded in 2014, D.O.E.’s inaugural production was The Cave: A Folk Opera at The Hollywood Fringe Festival in California. The Daughters finished their time in Hollywood with an extended run and received multiple awards and recognition for the production. In 2016 D.O.E. relaunched in NYC with an intention to include more members, increase content, and therefore engage a wider community. The company has since grown from 6 to 16 members.
