Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Urayoán Noel lives in the Bronx and teaches at NYU. His most recent books are Buzzing Hemisphere/Rumor Hemisférico (University of Arizona, 2015), a Library Journal Top Fall Indie Poetry selection, and the critical study In Visible Movement: Nuyorican Poetry from the Sixties to Slam (University of Iowa, 2014), winner of the LASA Latino Studies book prize. Noel is a former CantoMundo, Ford Foundation, and BRIO fellow whose work has appeared in dozens of anthologies, including Mariposas (2008) and El canon abierto (2015). Skye Cabrera is a Poet / Musician from NYC who has been performing since 2009 at venues such as Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Brooklyn Historical Society, Bronx Museum, The Delancey and more. She is a Parsons School of Design graduate and author of two poetry books, “Music for Caterpillars” in 2011 and most recently “Meet me at the Cube” in 2016

In 2013 her Spoken Word video  “when a woman speaks” was featured on Madonna’s Art for Freedom project. Her work reflects the queer experience, angst, love, identity and purpose.
