About the Artists

Called ‘‘The Folk Punk Woody Allen,’’ Bob Katz introduced a startling new voice with his award-winning debut album, When Good Mangos Go Bad, produced by folk rock legend Pete Kennedy.  Known for his genre-bending raucous singer-songwriter shows, Bob expanded into musical theater (Quasimango, the Lunchbox of Notre Dame: work-in-progress, Dixon Place Lounge & St. John’s Lutheran Church Theater, 2014), radio (The Real Radio Show, regular), & television (The Real Radio Show for TV; Finnish National Television MTV3).  Bob Katz is Artistic Director/Host of Christopher Street Coffee House, a monthly, mash-up of song, spoken word, etc., with guests ranging from Dar Williams to Jeffrey Lewis.

Hailed as ‘‘the kingpin of the jokefolk scene’’ by the New Yorker and ‘‘genuinely funny’’ by the New York Times, singer-songwriter Phoebe Kreutz has shared stages throughout the world with beloved acts Jeffrey Lewis, Kimya Dawson, Klaus Cornfield, Tom Wopat, Cady Huffman, Charles Busch & Christopher Durang.  She recently released her fifth studio album, Nightlife Sentence.  A cult figure in Germany, Kreutz also performs with the groups Urban Barnyard, The Pizza Underground (featuring Macaulay Culkin) & The Phyllis Newman Health Initiative Dancers.  Her songwriting was featured on the Disney Channel show Johnny and the Sprites, & in the Alex Timbers’ musical Dance Dance Revolution.  A recent review of her songs called Awesomer & Awesomer was produced at NY’s Triad Theater.
